Inspired by Gianfranco Sampò, Terra draws on the Japanese tea ceremony: a fascinating ritual that expresses harmony and tranquility, where every tool has significance, and each gesture is thoughtful and experienced together.
With over 300 tubs delivered each week, Terra is committed to providing impeccable service, from the moment a delivery order is made, tremendous care is taken from scoping the gelato to packaging. To enhance this experience, we’ve created a 100% compostable tub made entirely of paper—elegant and environmentally friendly—accompanied by the design spoon BIS for a refined tasting at home.
We’ve also launched a dedicated app, available on iPhone and Android, offering efficient delivery and takeaway services as well as exclusive promotions for the Terra community. With Terra Gelato, every moment becomes an unforgettable ritual where sustainability meets beauty.
The tub
Born from a love for the environment, our 100% compostable tub is made entirely of paper and is the first of its kind in Milan.
Completely plastic-free, it’s designed for you to enjoy Terra gelato at home with friends and family, ensuring every scoop of gelato is always creamy and at the perfect temperature.
The tubs are not only sustainable but also elegant and suitable for serving from directly at the table.

Bis, the gelato spoon
BIS is a glazed ceramic spoon, designed by Mario Scairato for Terra and handcrafted to enrich one’s gelato experience at home.
Only 90 pieces in three colors were produced as a limited-edition collectable for the Milan Design Week 2024, and can be purchased in store and through our app.
Its smooth shape enhances the creamy texture of the gelato, while the raised handle preserves hygiene. The visible terracotta back reflects Terra’s connection to nature and craftsmanship.
