The Gelato
Our gelato is crafted using the “Terra Method,” a manifesto of quality and well-being that elevates natural ingredients with an innovative approach. Each flavor has its own unique recipe, developed from the main ingredient and naturally balanced to create a light gelato, containing only 14% sugar and between 2% and 9% fat. With the Terra Method, we blend technology and innovation into our creative and production processes, delivering a “contemporary” artisanal gelato.

Technology and innovation
Our gelato is “contemporary” because we believe that innovation and technology can further refine our creative and production processes.
In February 2024, Terra introduced “AI Terra,” the first gelato created with the support of Artificial Intelligence. To create it, Gianfranco Sampò and Massimo Grosso provided the AI with inputs identifying the Terra gelato style and it was able to propose an original and creative flavor aligned with Terra’s brand ethos.
The Terra team then refined and perfected the recipe, experimenting until a balance of flavor and impeccable texture was achieved. This is a pioneering idea that has captured the attention of both the public and the industry. Thanks to its unique blend of technology and Terra’s artisanal vision – a unique gelato was created: a base of white chocolate, with balsamic berry sauce, and caramelized black pepper.

The Terra team meticulously selects the finest natural raw materials, respecting seasonal rhythms, and partners only with suppliers who take a thoughtful approach toward environmental sustainability and uphold rigorous quality standards, ensuring strict supply chains for high quality and traceability.

Grass-fed cow milk
Grass-fed milk from Mila Sudtirol, a cooperative in South Tyrol dedicated to preserving mountain milk, with over 2,000 members and farmers caring for the land, and the health and well-being of animals.
Gentile Piedmont Hazelnuts
Tomatis is the reference point for Terra in terms of quality hazelnuts, still grown artisanally today. This family’s story began in Cuneo, where Barbara and Fabrizio revived an abandoned plot to produce hazelnuts now recognized worldwide for their exceptional quality.
Pistachio
Sourced from Fruit Service, a Sicilian artisanal company cultivating land and producing dried fruit, including pistachios, since 1960— they are an ideal partner for Terra given their meticulous product selection and a controlled supply chain.
Chocolate
Chocolate from Icam, that has been producing high-quality chocolate since the 1970s with an ethical and sustainable approach for both the environment and people. Terra uses their single-origin chocolates from Madagascar, Peru, Uganda, and the Dominican Republic.
